Mission / Vision Statement

The department functions as a nodal agency for implementing programmes for upliftment of SCs, STs, OBCs, Specially abled, widows, destitutes and other socially & economically weaker sections of the Society.  The Department is entrusted  with welfare of these segments of the society.

The main activities of the department are :-

• Socio-economic development of targetted group.

• Educational enhancement of targetted group by way of scholarships and hostel facilities.

• Schemes for social security to old, specially abled and widow/destitute etc.

• Programmes for rehabilitation of  drug addicted persons, bootleggers, unclaimed women etc.
