BOOK BANK
In order to mitigate the difficulty of non-availability of books for technical courses like Medical, Engineering, Agriculture, Veterinary, Polytechnic etc. to the students belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes the Book Bank Scheme has been started in the year 1992-93 on matching basis. Under the scheme Book Banks have been established in such 82 colleges. These banks provide one set of textbooks for the session, free of cost, among two scheduled caste / schedule tribe students at graduation level and one set to one student basis at post-graduation level. The set of textbooks can be used for three years.
