An Act to consolidate and amend the law relating to children alleged and 
found to be in conflict with law and children in need of care and protection by catering to their basic needs through proper care, protection, development, 
treatment, social re-integration, by adopting a child-friendly approach in the adjudication and disposal of matters in the best interest of children and for 
their rehabilitation through processes provided, and institutions and bodies established.Implementation of Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015:Under this Act 33 Child Welfare Committees, 34 Juvenile Justice Boards constituted and 41 Special Juvenile Police Units are working to
 address the case of various categories of children in the districts. The POCSO Act, 2012 is a comprehensive law to provide for 
 the protection of children from the offences of sexual assault, sexual harassment and pornography, while safeguarding the interests of the child at
 every stage of the judicial process by incorporating child-friendly mechanisms for reporting, recording of evidence, investigation and speedy trial of
 offences through designated Special Courts. Department is working as Nodal agency to monitor implementation of POCSO Act in the state.Implementation of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012: Under Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, Foster care is an arrangement whereby a
 child is placed for the purpose of alternate care in the domestic environment of a family, usually on a temporary or long term basis, with unrelated family 
 members. A child shall be preferably placed with child’s extended family or with close friends of the family who are known to child and when such options are 
 either not available or not willing to take care of the child, the child may be placed in foster care.  Rajasthan is the second state in country in notifying 
 foster care rules for its implementation. Till now 16 children are placed in foster family.Implementation of Foster Care Rule, 2014:The Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS) is a centrally sponsored scheme aimed at building a protective 
environment for children in difficult circumstances, as well as other vulnerable children, through Government-Civil Society Partnership. ICPS brings together
 multiple existing child protection schemes  under the one comprehensive umbrella, and integrates additional interventions for protecting children and 
 preventing harm. ICPS, therefore, would institutionalize essential services and strengthen structures, enhance capacities at all levels, create database 
 and knowledge base for child protection services, strengthen child protection at family and community level, ensure appropriate inter-sectoral response 
 at state/District/grassroots level.Integrated Child Protection Scheme:
Under ICPS 5309 children have been benefited through 152 Children homes (including 42 govt. run homes) & 38 funded shelter homes are running to provide 
immediate & short care for runaway, missing and street children etc.Greh Unnyan Samiti constituted under the Chairmanship of Principal Secretary, SJE to improve the conditions of Child Care Institutions.Detailed guidelines and instructions to DCPUs for the compliance of minimum standards of care in institutions. Prohtsan Yojana was launched to promote the CSR and Community participation in strengthening of Government run Children Homes.
 Under this scheme Bhilwara– Hindustan Zink supported to develop Model Govt. Children (Boys) Home in Bhilwara district.Protshahan Yojna:To promote skill development of children who are residing in homes, CM Hunar Vikas is being implemented in state.
 Till now 314 children have benefitted through this scheme.Mukhymantri Hunar Vikas Yojna:It is an award scheme (PAHAL Scheme) on the lines of Mukhbir Yojana for dissuading violation of child rights.Initial strategy note 
& Road map has been developed to monitor & provide directions for Protection & Enforcement of Child Rights.Pahal yojna:Rajasthan Children Participation Guidelines was notified to promote children participation
 at the level of schools, hostels and Children Homes. Under this scheme, various activities will be done through formation of Child Rights Clubs. Children 
 will be empowered about their rights and duties. Currently 1207 Child Rights Clubs are working in govt. schools for promoting child participation.Rajasthan Children Participation Guidelines, 2014 :Guidelines has been issued to all District Child Protection Units to promote de-institulization of children under ICPS.Sponsorship- |  |
